Guar Gum (CAS NO : 9000-30-0)

Guar gum is the natural polymer extracted from guar beans, and guar gum powder is the finely ground form of this gum. Guar Gum Powder is a galactomannan polysaccharide extracted from guar beans and used as a thickening, stabilizing, and gelling agent in (food and industrial grade) applications. Guar Gum hydrates quickly in cold water to form viscous solutions. Also known as Guaran and Cyamopsis tetragonoloba seed gum by speciality chemical suppliers and manufacturers, it is used in baked goods, beverages, and personal care gels. Guar gum is an off-white to yellowish-white powder. Five to eight times the thickening power of starch. Water solutions are tasteless, odorless, and nontoxic and have a pale translucent gray color with neutral pH.
